Why we exist

Keeping our roots strong in a new home

Albury Wodonga is home to a growing Congolese community. Many families arrived speaking Swahili, French, Lingala and other languages, and want their children to keep them while they thrive at school in English.

Our school brings parents, elders and young people together each week to learn, share and celebrate who we are, and to help every member of the community take part fully in life in Australia.

A child who knows their language and culture walks with confidence in two worlds.
